1933 MG L-Type overhead cam 6-cylinder. All original. Chassis LO still with the car. 1086cc crossflow engine with bore of 57mm and stroke of 71mm producing 41 bhp at 5500 rpm. Top speed 80mph. Wheelbase 94 inches, track 42 inches. First year with 12 inch brakes on all wheels. Built in UK Dec 13 1933, being one of the last L-Type s of 576 manufactured. 13 L-Types are registered with the MMM Club of (NAMMMR). This a rare car and is the only one in the world with its unique combination of features. 
MG built the L-Type to be a competition car and it achieved loads of victories, among them at the l and the oklands lay Race. The L-Type was the only MG of all time with the combination of cut-down doors, extended chassis, and a swept-back grille shell.
1st sale was on Jan 5 1934 to CR , Tunbridge UK. The original 4-seat tub was replaced with a 2-seat tub by the MG factory in 1935 and sold to n bourn, UK who was successful racing and trialing it at many venues 1936-39, including oklands and e racetracks. We became friends in the ‘90s, and after he died his wife sent me one of the 1st Place Cups the car won at oklands in 1937 plus several original 1930s racetrack programs listing the car as a participant in various events. Imported to the US by Dragone Classic Motorcars about 1990 which sold to collector , then on to rt Pass, then bought by me in 1994.
od factory competition equipment on this car includes an fuel rail with twin SU carbs, hemp-wrapped Bluemel’s oklands banjo steering wheel, oklands fold-down dual windscreens, leather bonnet straps, aluminum sliding arm radiator and fuel lids, chrome mesh headlight protector screens, and factory racing bucket seats. The original swept wings were replaced in about 1940 with cycle-style racing wings (see 1944 pic of the car in “The MG Marque” by Chris ).

All gauges are correct and rebuilt Jaeger and . s original lay-flat windscreen, five 19” trued British Wire wheels with sior Comp H 4.50-19 tires, original of the d headlights and marker lights, full-grain z leather interior including door panels, original wiper motor and arms, engine-turned dash panel, 4-speed manual transmission, canvas tonneau, top, side curtains, original jack, original Dick spanners, & original trouble light.
