This recently restored 1948 Triumph 1800 Convertible was the forerunner of the TR2 sports car, as the first new Triumph introduced following WWII. Estimates vary, but as few as 2,501 examples may have been produced for both the U.S. and British markets. mings’ Dave La Chance recently wrote that the TR18 “is one of the most seldom seen but unforgettable Triumphs, that (provided) pre-war charm for a post-war world.” The rear “dickey seat” (the British name for a rumble seat) includes a folding glass windscreen and is recorded by auto historians as the final dickey/rumble seat manufactured in regular production.
