1954 Austin-Healey 100-4 Red Convertible

Built for just two years from 1953 to 1955, the first iteration of the stin Healey, the 100/4 BN1 caused a sensation when it debuted at the 1952 Motor Show. Fitted with a large, torquey 2,660cc four-cylinder engine, the light and streamlined Healey 100 was a genuine 100mph-plus car. 

With a fold-flat windscreen, minimal creature comforts and plenty of urge, the stin-Healey was the quintessential British sports car. These earliest 100/4s are highly regarded by Healey enthusiasts for their purity of line and raw sports car driving experience. It is a real sports car, easy to drive and maintain, with the right vintage exhaust sounds.

 This example is in excellent condition, show ready, turnkey. urs level restoration completed approx. 10 years ago.  All metal, no bondo. No collision damage. Matching numbers car. Smooth shifting original 3 speed manual with working overdrive. Original 2.6 litre four cylinder, runs like new. All electrics and gauges work. No suspension issues, car runs straight and true. 

This car has won multiple first place awards at shows. It is an excellent example of a full rotisserie restoration that has been well taken care of.   derside done in original body color – you can eat off of it. No spray on tar or rattle can black paint covering anything here. 
 
  Top and side curtains in like new condition, I have newer used them. Tonneau cover in excellent shape. I usually only take car out on nice days and use the tonneau to cover the interior if needed. 

 

History I know of car is that it started its life in the SW US and was purchased and brought up north by the previous owner in 1990. I have a folder an inch and a half thick full of records and receipts from 1990 onward. Original workshop manuals go with car as well. I have owned the car for the last five years, and it has spent time in PA and also out in AZ with me as my snowbird show car.  I have put maybe 500 to . kes just inspected and serviced, and oil and fluids changed in prep for sale.  es, it does drip a very small spot or two of oil, nothing major, just normal for an old British car.  
  
 The car is the real deal. This car is not a $40k car with rust bubbles. It is not a quick spray restoration with just the body painted and the underside not touched at all or coated in undercoat or spray can black paint to either hide something or give a cheap completed look. One can buy a cheaper Healey, but to get one to this level with current restoration costs you will be into that cheaper Healey for a lot more than I am asking here. 
  
  This car is a true stock no expense spared restoration, not one of the many ‘M’ clones out there. it sits, it is eligible for many historic events and shows. These cars due to their rarity, especially in this condition, are a rather sound investment.
