This 1961 Cadillac Series 62 convertible was fitted with a 390ci V8 before it was acquired by the seller in 2000, and it underwent a cosmetic refurbishment that was completed in 2020. The car has been painted Pompeian Red and has maroon and white leather upholstery as well as a four-speed Hydra-Matic transmission, 15″ wheel covers, a power-operated white convertible top, power windows, and an AM/FM radio. This Series 62 is now offered with spare parts, a car cover, and a Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name. The car was finished from the factory in Olympic White, and the seller states that the car was taken down to bare metal, rust was repaired, and it was refinished in Pompeian Red. The power-operated white convertible top was replaced at the same time, the stainless-steel was straightened and polished, and the chrome parts were replated. The grille was rebuilt from two different grilles, as well. There is a paint flaw around the rear emblem on the trunk. The listing photos were taken in April 2024. The seller states that during the refurbishment the seats were rebuilt and fitted with replacement covers, the door panels and carpeting were replaced, and the dashboard, pad, and chrome were refinished. The window motors were also overhauled during current ownership. The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer cable was replaced in preparation for the sale. The 390ci V8 was installed before the seller’s acquisition. Since that time, the carburetor was overhauled and the fuel tank and sender were replaced according to the seller. The timing and carburetor were adjusted in preparation for the sale. The coolant overflow hose is missing and the water pump bypass hose is swollen and cracked. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The muffler is bent.
