The 1967 Corvette Stingray was the last Corvette of the second generation, and five years of refinements made it the best of the line. The 427/435HP L71 Sting would be the high-water mark of Corvette performance and refinement for the C2 series of cars. Changes were modest with five smaller front fender vents replacing the three larger ones and the flat-finish rockers conferred a lower profile. The 427/435hp came standard from the factory with the y triple two-barrel carburetor arrangement called Tri-Power. The rare L71 engine package cost the original buyer an extra $437.10 on the GM order form. This 1967 Corvette was produced on September 3, 1967 at the sembly Plant and was ordered with the optional solid lifter L71 427/435HP engine, 4-speed close ratio manual transmission, Positraction rear end, sistor ignition, Special Heavy Duty Suspension, push button AM/FM radio, and is finished in its factory delivered exterior. A complete nut and bolt frame off, no expense spared full restoration of this Corvette was completed some 20 years ago and still shows excellently. This factory L71 Corvette is powered by the numbers matching 427/435HP engine, and numbers matching 4-speed close ratio transmission.
