This 1969 Pontiac GTO convertible was acquired by the seller in 1998 with a blown engine and subsequent work consisted of installing a 455ci V8 and repainting the body. The car is finished in white with a matching soft top over blue vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, faux hood scoops, power steering, power front disc brakes, Rally II 15″ wheels, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, a center console, woodgrain trim, a JL Audio amplifier and subwoofer, aftermarket speakers, and a concealed Pioneer CD stereo. This GTO convertible is now offered with PHS documents, service manuals, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The car left the factory finished in Cameo White (50) and is said to have been repainted under current ownership. Exterior details include a body-color front bumper, a chrome rear bumper, faux hood scoops, bright rocker trim, GTO badging, and dual exhaust outlets. The wipers do not work. Rally II 15″ wheels wear PMD center caps and bright trim rings and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A 50H tires measuring 225/60 up front and 265/50 out back. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in blue vinyl joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Equipment includes a center console, faux woodgrain trim, Pontiac-branded rubber floor mats, a concealed Pioneer CD stereo, aftermarket speakers, and a trunk-mounted JL Audio amplifier and subwoofer. The heater core has been plugged. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, approximately 5k of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 455ci V8 was sourced from a 1971 vehicle and installed under current ownership. Equipment includes an Edelbrock intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, a dual snorkel air cleaner, and Ram Air-style exhaust manifolds. An oil change was performed and the battery was replaced in 2023. An engine stamp image is shown in the gallery. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. An aftermarket dual exhaust system with Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers has been installed. A copy of the factory build sheet lists the initial delivery to Dietzsch Pontiac in Binghamton, New York.  Documentation from Pontiac Historic Services and service manuals are also included in the sale. A spare heater core will accompany the sale.
