This 1971 Plymouth ’Cuda convertible is one of approximately 87 examples produced for the model year with a 383ci V8, a four-barrel carburetor, and a three-speed automatic transmission. It is further equipped with a Shaker hood, a white convertible soft top, 14″ Rallye wheels, power-assisted steering and brakes, ’Cuda graphics, dual side mirrors, a center console, an AM/FM radio, a Rallye gauge cluster, and a cabin heater. Acquired by the current owner in 2019, the car was refurbished under previous ownership. This ’Cuda is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean California title. The car left the factory finished in Lemon Twist (FY1) with white vinyl graphics and was repainted during the refurbishment under previous ownership. It features a replacement white convertible soft top, a Shaker hood secured by pins, quad headlights, driving lights, and dual side mirrors. The Shaker hood was refinished and the “billboard” side graphics were installed under current ownership. The 14″ Rallye wheels are mounted with 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The cabin features white vinyl seating surfaces and was optioned with front bucket seats. Other interior appointments include an optional center console, a push-button AM radio, and a cabin heater. Carpeted floor mats with stylized ’Cuda logos line the footwells. Rallye instrumentation consists of a 150-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, alternator charge, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 81k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 383ci Super Commando V8 was factory rated at 335 horsepower and 425 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor. The seller describes a pinhole leak from the radiator. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. Additional underside photos are viewable in the image gallery below.
