This 1967 tang convertible is one of 8,527 that were originally specified with the Sports Sprint appearance package, and it was one of just 827 tangs in the model year that were ordered in quoise with two-tone Aqua upholstery. Dubbed “ y”, the car reportedly was stored for approximately 30 years before it was restored in the 2010s, with the process being overseen by a tang Club of (MCA) d Card judge with a specialty in 1967-68 tangs. It subsequently won a MCA National d Award, and it was featured in MCA’s
tang es magazine. fered with Deluxe and Standard ports, the owner’s manual, removed factory components parts, restoration photos, and trophies.
The cabin was refreshed with replacement two-tone Aqua upholstery, coordinated carpeting, and a replacement dashboard pad. A Custom tosound stereo was installed along with tang-logo floor mats.
The steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership.
The car was ordered with a three-speed manual transmission originally, and it was converted to an automatic transmission under previous ownership. Original transmission is still available to purchase if desired. The underside was repainted with a black textured finish.
