This 1963 OSCA was delivered new in . The original owner was
a local architect whom looked over this car for 53 years. I could tell
he was a car guy as he had 3 different garages around where he
stored all his stuff. The one he had this car in was clearly saved for the
nicest cars. He knew how special this 1963 OSCA is with the functional
hood scoop, 4 wheel disc brakes, single headlights, powered by an OSCA
1.6L and built by inferina. The original owner took care of it throughout
the years making sure anything it needed was addressed. ng his
ownership with this car, he commissioned the famous parts collector and
mechanic Pasquale Coppola in to maintain it. Coppola is well
known around OSCA cars and made sure this one was in top shape. The
car still wears original undercoating from the factory and has never been
touched up. The engine and transmission are original to the car and
perform beautifully. All the suspension components and mechanics have
been well cared for over the years and still wear factory paint. The seats
were recovered by the original owner at some point and have held up well
over the years.
I found this car in early 2016 and a few weeks later I was on a flight to
to see it. The old man whom owned it was a great host and really
showed me a good time during my stay. While I was in I drove it
around the city streets and along the waterfront. Sitting behind the big
i steering wheel, driving on cobblestone roads and shifting through
the gears was an amazing experience and one I will never forget.
I brought the car back and it arrived in sunny Southern fornia a month
later. When the container opened it was just as I left it in (except dusty). I brought it to my house, and started cleaning it from the long
journey. the years of my ownership I enjoyed it around Southern
fornia but knew it could be better. That is why I entrusted it in the
hands of eph DeMeo. He is the marque expert when it comes to these
cars in the US. We agreed in keeping it a largely original and a
preserved example while fixing some areas that needed attention. der
my care it has undergone a bare metal repaint in it’s original grey color. At
that time I also had all of the brightwork refinished and reconditioned the
interior. The engine has had normal maintenance performed and the timing
checked/adjusted as needed. With the carburetors, cooling system,
electrical, exhaust, suspension, steering, etc all being rebuilt. All of this
work has been performed under eph’s expert attention to details.
