This rare prewar brass automobile has an opposed two cylinder gas engine, red exterior and black interior. Originally a true roadster, this car was later fitted with a folding windshield (new old stock) and a convertible top that was hand-made by sh craftsmen.
Family-owned since 1990, we acquired her in pristine shape from an auto museum in Georgia where she had previously been on display after a (then) recent renovation. At time of purchase, car was sold as a 1908 model, but she was later determined to be 1912. Always kept covered in a garage.
This car is a runner – she completed the New to New on Minnesota antique car run (two-cylinder car tour) about 10 times in the 1990s and early 2000s.
She needs a driver, and has not run for some 20+ years, but was driving when parked (gas was drained). Features wood spoke artillery-style wheels (tires are dry rotted, but hold air for loading and transporting), two speed planetary transmission and shaft drive. She has an aftermarket speedometer, and a custom made mother-in-law seat (with seat belt) where a young granddaughter sat for several memorable car tours. ne moves freely, but a valve and guide will need to be re-installed (included with the sale). Carbide and kerosene lamps have individual canvas pouches, and the car comes with a full cover.
A box of spare parts also comes with the car. (F I, was an early precursor to Chrysler)
