The ultimate barn find. 1951 cury Convertible stored in a farm shed from 1974 to 2017. I replaced or rebuilt all of the mechanical systems, but haven’t touched the body or interior. $7,000spent on a professional engine rebuild including all the new internal parts and extensive machine work. $1,000 spent on automatic transmission rebuild. All new complete brake system including master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, and lines. All new complete fuel system, including tank, lines, pump, and rebuilt carb. New exhaust system, rebuilt, water, pumps, new radiator, and hoses. The engine starts quick, and runs, smooth and quiet. The patina includes the dirt from sitting in the shed for 43 years. I have not washed the car. New rear springs and shocks. All of the lights work except the turning signals. Some rust in the rear corners of the trunk but not bad. Original fender skirts, and dual spotlights. It needs inner and outer rockers. Power seat, windows, and top. The floor pans are good. spots in the lower corners of the rear wheel openings. Some of the beltline trim is missing. I have a good replacement trunk lid.
