While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the Jaguar E-type is inarguably one of the best-looking cars ever put into production. Not only was it one of the fastest road cars available, but the design was a showstopper from day one. Originally designed for competition, the first prototypes were raced competitively and earned their keep as a step up in ability from the D-Types. When the first E-types went up for sale in 1961, they immediately gained attention from both the motoring press and the public for their capability and beauty. This XKE is in excellent condition, and maintenance is up to date. a ies 3, it has the automatic transmission not available on previous series examples, as well as Jaguar’s all-new V12 engine, replacing the inline 6 cylinder. It was equipped from new with the factory air conditioning, and the original 8-track stereo system.
