1961 Chevrolet Corvette C1

This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette is a running project that was acquired by the seller in 1985 and is powered by a 383ci stroker V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car is partially finished in blue and equipped with an independent front suspension, front disc brakes, adjustable coilovers, and rack-and-pinion steering. Additional equipment includes a black soft top, 14” American Eagle wheels, black vinyl upholstery, a Hurst shifter, and a Sony CD stereo. This C1 Corvette project is now offered at no reserve with spare parts and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name. The car is partially finished in blue with a black hood and unfinished fenders. The seller reports prior damage to the right front and left rear of the car and that the quarter panels and front surround have been replaced. A black soft top and hood scoop are equipped. The windshield washers do not work. American Eagle 14″ wheels are mounted with 205/75 GT Radial Touring VP Plus tires. A Jim Meyer independent front suspension, front disc brakes, tubular control arms, adjustable coilovers, and rack-and-pinion steering are fitted. The two bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl, and interior equipment includes a Hurst shifter, Sony CD stereo, dash-mounted rearview mirror, heater, and analog clock. The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on an IDIDIT column and frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles, which the seller notes is the mileage traveled since a refurbishment was completed in 2004. Total mileage is unknown. The 383 stroker V8 was installed in 1994 and is fitted with a bright Chevrolet-branded air cleaner assembly and valve covers. The oil was changed in 2023. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
