2008 Ford Shelby Mustang (2006+)

This 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 convertible was sold new through Eufaula Ford in Oklahoma in June 2008 and was subsequently sent to Shelby Automobiles of Las Vegas, Nevada, in December 2009 for installation of their Super Snake package. Finished in Torch Red over Charcoal Black and Crimson Red leather, the car is powered by a 5.4-liter V8 fitted with a Ford Racing supercharger and linked with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Further Shelby additions include carbon-fiber front splitter and rocker panel extensions as well as a short-throw shifter, a Borla exhaust system, an Eibach coilover suspension, 20″ Shelby-Alcoa forged alloy wheels, and Baer four-wheel disc brakes with six-piston calipers. A black soft top, HID headlights, front sport bucket seats, a Shaker 500 sound system, a CD stereo, and air conditioning were equipped from the factory. The current owner acquired the car in 2021 and has since added approximately 100 of the 5k indicated miles. This Super Snake convertible is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a Ford window sticker, service records, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean Washington State title. The car is finished in Torch Red with black stripes and wears a carbon-fiber front splitter and rocker panel extensions. A power-retractable black soft top, a vented hood, hood pins, HID headlights, fog lights, a rear spoiler, and Shelby Super Snake badging are further exterior details. Staggered-width 20″ Shelby-Alcoa forged alloy wheels are mounted with 255/35 front and 275/35 rear Pirelli P Zero tires. The Super Snake package added four-wheel Baer disc brakes with six-piston calipers over drilled and slotted rotors as well as an Eibach coilover suspension. The cabin features front sport bucket seats upholstered in Charcoal Black and Crimson Red leather with embroidered Shelby Cobra and Super Snake logos on the backrests and headrests, respectively. Factory equipment includes a Shaker 500 sound system, a CD stereo, air conditioning, and cruise control. A short-throw shifter with a white ball knob has been added along with Shelby Super Snake-branded floor mats. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, boost pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 5k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added under current ownership. A mileage inconsistency is listed in a July 2020 entry on the Carfax report, which notes that it may be the result of a clerical error. Boost, fuel pressure, and oil pressure gauges are mounted above the center stack. Serialized plaques on the dashboard and in the engine bay identify this Super Snake as CSM number 08SS0037. The supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V8 is equipped with a Ford Racing supercharger and chrome valve covers. A Ford Racing strut tower brace spans the engine bay and is accompanied by a carbon-fiber shroud over the aluminum radiator, which features Shelby American branded overflow reservoirs. The seller notes that fluid changes were last performed in 2021. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A Borla dual exhaust system with polished outlets is equipped. The included Ford Motor Company window sticker shown above displays a total manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $50,220. A December 2012 sales order from Shelby Automobiles details installation of Super Snake Sport equipment at a total cost of $33,754. The Carfax report lists the aforementioned mileage inconsistency and shows no accidents or other damage. History is displayed in Oklahoma, Arizona, Nevada, California, Illinois, and Washington.
