1986 Rolls-Royce Corniche

This 1986 Rolls-Royce Corniche II is powered by a 6.75-liter V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in red over tan leather upholstery. Equipment includes a beige soft top, 15″ steel wheels, a chrome grille, air conditioning, cruise control, power-adjustable front seats, fold-down rear picnic tray tables, and an AM/FM cassette stereo. The car spent time in multiple states before it was acquired by the selling dealer in August 2023. Past work completed in June 2021 included refreshing the air conditioning system and replacing the tires. This Corniche is now offered in California with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, a beige top boot, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title. The car is finished in red with a beige soft top and pinstripes. Additional exterior features include chrome trim, dual polished exhaust outlets, and a “Pantheon” grille topped by a Spirit of Ecstasy ornament. A beige top boot will accompany the car. Steel 15″ wheels wear polished covers and 235/70 Avon Turbosteel 70 narrow-whitewall tires that were installed in June 2021. Four-wheel disc brakes as well as a four-wheel independent suspension with coil springs and a hydraulic self-leveling system were factory fitted. The seats are upholstered in tan leather with red piping and are accompanied by burl wood trim accents on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Appointments include power-adjustable front seats with memory settings in addition to cruise control, automatic climate control, locking storage compartments, fold-down rear picnic tray tables, a period Motorola carphone, and an AM/FM cassette stereo with an analog equalizer. The right-rear window mechanism was lubricated and areas of the leather on the driver’s door panel, center armrests, center console, and dashboard were reconditioned in preparation for the sale. The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a warning lamp panel, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 23k miles. The 6.75-liter V8 features Bosch CIS fuel injection and sends power to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. A refresh of the air conditioning system was carried out in June 2021 which included the replacement of the air conditioning compressor and expansion valve. The oil pan drain plug, power steering hoses, and accessory drive belts were also replaced and an oil change was carried out. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below. Manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, and one set of keys are included in the sale. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California, Massachusetts, Florida, New York, and New Jersey from an initial entry in February 1991. A California emissions inspection was most recently passed in May 2023.
