This 1973 MG MGB roadster reportedly received a cosmetic and mechanical refresh under prior ownership in 2017, which included a repaint in green. The car has spent time in Kentucky and Tennessee and was acquired by the seller in April 2023. It is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and is equipped with 14″ Minator wheels, front disc brakes, a green vinyl soft top, a tan top boot, chrome bumpers and trim, and a Lecarra steering wheel. This MGB roadster is now offered at no reserve with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, a repair manual, and a clean Tennessee title in the seller’s name. Finished from the factory in Harvest Gold, the car was repainted in its current shade of green under previous ownership. The car is fitted with a green vinyl soft top, a tan top boot, chrome bumpers and trim, dual side mirrors, and polished dual exhaust outlets. Aftermarket 14″ Minator wheels are wrapped in 185/70 Uniroyal Tiger Paw AWP II tires. A spare 14″ Rostyle wheel is housed in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The bucket seats were reportedly reupholstered in tan vinyl and are accompanied by matching door panel inserts and carpets. Burl wood trim accents the cabin, and appointments include a heater, a locking glovebox, and a radio block-off plate. The wood-rimmed Lecarra steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer was reset under prior ownership in 2017, and it now shows 1,400 miles. Total mileage is unknown. The 1.8-liter inline-four is fitted with a single Weber carburetor along with an aluminum radiator, a carburetor heat shield, and heat-wrapped exhaust headers. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox with an electrically actuated overdrive unit. The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate lists the factory colors, equipment, engine number, and a January 16, 1973 build date. Filed under: mg, mg b
