This 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera cabriolet was acquired in June 1997 by the seller, who has since added approximately 12k of the 89k miles shown. The car is said to have been stored between 2002 and 2015, and a subsequent refurbishment reportedly included refreshing the interior, replacing the blue soft top, overhauling the fuel system, and servicing the brakes and clutch. It is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a G50 five-speed manual transaxle, and it is finished in Grand Prix White over black leather. Equipment includes a Fabspeed Motorsport exhaust resonator, a Steve Wong performance chip, 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and an Alpine stereo. This Carrera cabriolet is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual, service records, a tonneau cover, and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name. The car is finished in Grand Prix White and features a replacement blue soft top, a convertible top boot, a rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors. The Carfax report indicates that the car was stolen in November 1992, was recovered in September 1994, and “was declared a total loss by an insurance company” in July 1995. A tonneau cover is included in the sale. The 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels are mounted with Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, and the front and rear rotors were reportedley replaced in 2015 along with the wheel bearings and seals. The main cabin features seats upholstered in black leather, tan accent trim, and door panels are said to have been reupholstered approximately seven years ago, when the door seals were replaced. Amenities include an Alpine stereo as well as power windows and locks. An air conditioner evaporator was installed and the air-conditioning system was converted to use R134a refrigerant in 2015, although it does not work. The steering wheel shows worn stitching and frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a Quarz clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 89k miles, approximately 12k of which were added under current ownership. The 3.2-liter M930/25 flat-six features Bosch Motronic engine management, and a Steve Wong performance chip has been installed. The catalytic converters have been removed, and a Fabspeed Motorsport exhaust resonator has been fitted. The fuel tank, fuel pump, and left bank fuel injectors were replaced in 2015. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle. The Carfax report shows the aforementioned theft, recovery, and total-loss declaration. The report also shows registration history in California and Georgia. Filed under: g50, g50 911, g50 carrera, impact bumper, impact-bumper
