1982 Land Rover Range Rover Classic

This 1982 Land Rover Range Rover is a left-hand drive example that was converted to a convertible by London-based coachbuilder Wood & Pickett LTD and imported to the United States in 2018 by the previous owner. The seller acquired the truck on BaT in March 2022 and work since has involved re-mapping the ECU, installing Gaz suspension components, replacing the exhaust system, alternator, and steering box, and overhauling the fuel, ignition, and air conditioning systems. Power is provided by a fuel-injected 3.5-liter V8 that drives all four wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking differential. The truck is finished in black over tan leather upholstery and is equipped with a power-operated convertible top, 16″ tri-spoke wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, headrest-mounted speakers, and a Bluetooth-capable Kenwood head unit. This convertible Range Rover shows 69k kilometers and is now offered with service records, two keys, and Alabama registration in the seller’s name. Wood & Pickett LTD of London, England, converted the body to a convertible and refinished it in black during time with a previous owner. Features include a power-operated black convertible top, a top boot, body-color bumpers, an extended front valance, and an exposed fuel filler. Lighting elements were replaced under current ownership. Photos provided in the gallery show scratched mirror housings and paint blemishes on various parts of the bodywork. The silver-finished 16″ tri-spoke wheels feature Range Rover-branded center caps and are mounted with 265/70 Michelin X LT all-season tires which were installed under current ownership. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted disc brakes at each corner. The suspension system was overhauled under current ownership with work that included replacing bushings and hardware and installing a Gaz steering damper, shocks, and springs. The power-adjustable front bucket seats are upholstered in tan leather with contrasting black piping that extends to the rear bench. The cabin is appointed with color-coordinated carpeting, a leather-trimmed dashboard, a locking glovebox, and speakers mounted inside the headrests. A bank of supplementary gauges are mounted in the center of the dashboard along with an analog clock and auxiliary switches. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 69k kilometers (~43k miles), approximately 1k of which were added by the seller. The speedometer cable was replaced under current ownership.
