1948 Cadillac Series 62

This 1948 Cadillac convertible was built by Randy Church Restorations in Michigan and is powered by a 502ci V8. It was refinished in Radiant Midnight Blue, and body modifications included frenching the headlights, shaving the handles and badges, and smoothing the engine bay. The car is equipped with a TH400 automatic transmission, a tan soft top, four-wheel disc brakes, Camaro steering and front suspension, rear air shocks, electric door and trunk poppers, chrome wire wheels, late-model Cadillac leather seats, Dakota Digital gauges, a CD changer, 12-volt electrics, and an aluminum radiator. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this Cadillac custom is now offered with a clean Ohio title. The car was stripped to bare metal and repainted in what the seller describes as two-stage Glasurit Radiant Midnight Blue. Body modifications include frenched headlights and shaved handles and emblems. The seller notes that the tan soft top was installed in 2022, and safety glass windshield panels have been installed. The doors and trunk lid can now be opened remotely or with hidden handles under the car. There is delamination on the rear side windows and a scratch on the hood. The car has been fitted with modern GM four-wheel disc brakes, Camaro steering and front suspension, and rear air shocks. The chrome 15″ wire wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial wide-whitewall tires. The beige leather seats were sourced from a later-model Cadillac and the seller notes that the tan carpets were installed in 2022. Amenities include power windows, lap seatbelts, and a banjo-style steering wheel. The factory radio was modified to receive AM/FM signals and control a trunk-mounted CD changer. The factory instrument cluster was modified with Dakota Digital readouts in place of the original auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles. Power is provided by a 502ci GM V8. The engine bay has been smoothed, the electrical system was converted to 12 volts, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan is installed. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 automatic transmission and a 10-bolt Positraction rear end. A custom dual exhaust system is also installed. The car is titled in Ohio using the Florida Assigned Identification Number 486245275.
