This 1974 Volkswagen Type 2 is a Brazillian-built 15-window example that is powered by a replacement 1.5-liter flat-four mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. It has been refinished in red and white and is equipped with a fold-out windshield, a side-mounted ladder, chrome roof racks, sliding side windows, 14″ steel wheels, aftermarket shocks, and drum brakes as well as privacy curtains and three rows of bench seating upholstered in two-tone tan vinyl. Previously listed on BaT in October 2022 and acquired by the selling dealer in 2024, this Type 2 is now offered with a clean Florida title. The van was refinished in its current red and white paint scheme during time with a previous owner. The exterior features a chrome ladder and two roof racks with wood slats as well as a fold-out windshield, a pair of chrome side mirrors, tilt-out front vent windows, a locking fuel-filler door, and bumpers with overriders. Weathered window gaskets are noted. The 14″ wheels feature bright hubcaps and trim rings and are mounted with older Pirelli tires. Aftermarket shocks have been installed, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes. The seating surfaces and door panels are upholstered in two-tone tan vinyl. Color-coordinated carpeting lines the floor, and the interior is further appointed with a body-colored dash with an integrated storage shelf, lap belts, sliding windows, privacy curtains, and an overhead air vent. The two-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a 120-km/h speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 26k kilometers (~16k miles). True mileage is unknown. The replacement air-cooled 1.5-liter flat-four was installed during time with a previous owner. The carburetor was adjusted in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle. The selling dealer reports adjusting the shift linkage.
