1991 Jaguar XJS

This 1991 Arden AJ6 2+2 coupe was manufactured by Arden Automobilbau GmbH in Krefeld, Germany, and is based on a Jaguar XJS that was modified with revised bodywork, a 6.0-liter V12, and a ZF four-speed automatic transmission. The car is finished in black over beige leather upholstery and equipped with a sunroof, quad headlights, 17″ OZ wheels, and an Arden exhaust system with quad tailpipes in addition to heated and power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, and a Becker CD stereo. The car was acquired by the seller in November 2021 and now shows 64k kilometers (~40k miles). This AJ6 is offered in Berlin, Germany with manufacturer’s literature, two keys, and German registration. The AJ6 was based on an XJS 2+2 coupe and fitted with Arden bodywork, including smaller C-pillars, a shortened trunk lid, and revised windows and side mirrors. Finished in black with red and white pinstripes, the car is also equipped with a sunroof, quad headlights, a lockable gas cap, and a telescoping antenna. The car features revised suspension, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The cabin houses heated and power-adjustable front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in beige leather with black piping. Wood trim accents the doors, dashboard, and center console. Amenities include automatic climate control, an onboard computer, power windows, and a Becker CD stereo. A battery kill switch is located in the trunk. The cruise control does not work. A Jaguar Sport steering wheel fronts a 260km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 64k kilometers (~40k miles), approximately 1,500 of which have been added under current ownership. A revised 6.0-liter V12 and fabricated exhaust system with quad tailpipes were installed by Arden during the build. Work under current ownership is said to include replacing the spark plugs, filters, and fluids. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF four-speed automatic transmission.
