This 2004 Radical SR3 is a very quick and nicely sorted racer. It is fitted with a fully forged, balanced and blueprinted 1685cc engine by Crago Racing with 6 hours on it. This is a serious track machine that will do 0-60 MPH in 3.2 seconds and can achieve cornering and braking forces over 2Gs. This SR3 sports rerouted cooling, upgraded bi-plane rear wing from the SR8, and BBS wheels with Hoosier R7s with recent alignment and corner balancing. The seller uses the car for open track events, but it should be welcome in NASA and SCCA events as well. The car is sold with an off-road title and bill of sale. Finished in Orange and sporting the Star Trek comm-badge insignia on the roll hoop, paint and bodywork are in good shape with simple graphics and good looking multi-piece BBS wheels finished in black. The car cost around $140k when new. The fitted bi-plane rear wing is sourced from the flat-plane V8 equipped Radical SR8 and improves downforce at high speed. The dash is dominated by an AIM Pista data-logging display, gear indicator for the sequential gearbox, fire suppression switch and engine kill switch. Most surfaces are carbon fiber and show well, giving the whole interior the look of a miniaturized Le Mans racer from the early 2000s. Upholstery, where present, is in good condition. The seller has the car outfitted to accommodate a passenger, and two different passenger headrests can be seen in the photos. Harnesses are older and will need to be updated if a buyer wishes to use the car for racing rather than open track days. The Hayabusa-sourced four cylinder was recently rebuilt by Crago Racing to the tune of $15k, and has been fully balanced and blueprinted, and sports fully forged internals. The engine is managed by an MBE 9A4 Programmable ECU with Datareader and downloader. The tubular rear subframe and adjustable suspension components are quality Radical components , and the 4-2-1 split headers wrap around the engine. The seller has provided a 15 minute video of a track session with the car at Willow Springs, and the car looks fast and sounds aggressive on track. This SR3 sports several upgrades over the standard car, including rerouted cooling (the seller says the original layout left a lot to be desired) and remote oil reservoir and oil cooler. Chassis upgrades included an upgraded adjustable shock package, brakes from the SR8, and a fresh set of Hoosier R7s with 2 runs on them. A spare set of wheels is also included.
