This 1960 Chevrolet Corvette was refurbished under previous ownership with work consisting of stripping and repainting the body, replacing the hood and weatherstripping, and re-chroming the pillar trim and bumpers. The car is finished in red with white coves over black and powered by a replacement 327ci V8 mated to a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.70:1 gears. Equipment includes a white removable hardtop, a heater and defroster, split chrome bumpers, 15″ steel wheels with spinner-style covers, front disc brakes, dual four-barrel carburetors, a dual exhaust system, and a Wonder Bar push-button radio. The seller purchased the car on BaT in August 2022, and subsequent service has included rebuilding the carburetors, adding a Pertronix ignition conversion, and replacing the radiator, fuel lines, clutch, and tires. This C1 Corvette is now offered with service records and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The fiberglass bodywork is finished in red with white coves and is said to have been repainted in 2018. Equipment includes a white removable hardtop, a left-side mirror, polished rocker and side trim, fender vents, quad headlights, split chrome bumpers, and a dual-outlet exhaust that exits through the rear bumpers. The chrome bumpers and pillar trim were re-plated during previous ownership, and the weatherstripping and various fasteners were replaced. The red 15″ steel wheels wear spinner-style covers, and replacement Coker Classic whitewall tires were mounted in 2023, at which time the right-front king pin was repaired and an alignment was performed. Braking is handled by unassisted front discs and rear drums. The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with channeled inserts joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, sun visors, and carpets. Equipment includes a heater and defroster, dash-mounted rearview mirror, an analog clock, lap belts, polished sill plates, and a Wonder Bar push-button radio. The seller notes the dash cover is separating on the driver’s side near the windshield. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery charge, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 559 miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The replacement 327ci V8 is said to have been sourced from a 1964 Corvette and features dual Carter four-barrel carburetors, a polished ignition cover and air cleaner lid, and Corvette-script finned valve covers. Service completed by Corvette Mike of Anaheim, California, under current ownership included rebuilding the carburetors, replacing the fuel lines, installing a replacement radiator and coolant hoses, and converting the distributor to Pertronix electronic ignition. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.70:1 gears. The clutch was replaced and the flywheel was resurfaced in 2023.
