This 1936 Packard One Twenty is a rumble-seat convertible coupe that was purchased by the seller in 1963 and spent several decades in storage prior to a recent refurbishment that involved a repaint in cream and an interior retrim. Power comes from a 282ci L-head straight-eight, and the carburetor and water pump were replaced, the starter was rebuilt, and the fuel and ignition systems were refreshed as part of the project over the last few years. The engine is backed by a three-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes a tan soft top, a folding trunk rack, driving lights, an AM radio, and AutoMeter supplementary gauges. This One Twenty is now offered with spare parts and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name. The seller states that the car left the factory finished in Packard Cream and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment, which was completed in 2022. The tan soft top was replaced at that time along with the side windows, and turn signals were added. Other exterior details include a folding trunk rack, a louvered hood, driving lights, and running boards. The One Twenty rode on a 120″ wheelbase and featured a coil-sprung independent front suspension and a live rear axle with semi-elliptical leaf springs. Body-color steel wheels wear polished hubcaps, and the tires were reportedly replaced within the last two years. The four-wheel drum brakes were overhauled in 2022, and the seals for the front wheel bearings and axle were replaced. The bench seat is trimmed in cream, while the floors are lined with brown deep-pile carpeting that extends to the trunk area. The painted dashboard houses an AM radio, and a clock is mounted in the glove compartment door. Steps on the right-rear fender provide access to the rumble seat, which is trimmed to match the cabin. The three-spoke steering wheel frames an inoperative 120-mph speedometer flanked by auxiliary instruments, while AutoMeter gauges for voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are mounted below the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 26k miles, and total mileage is unknown. The seller estimates adding approximately 1k miles since 1963. The 282ci L-head straight-eight is said to have been rebuilt in the 1960s and features a single downdraft carburetor. Work performed since 2022 included  rebuilding the starter, cleaning the fuel tank, refreshing the distributor, and replacing the carburetor, fuel pump, generator, voltage regulator, water pump, fan belt, spark plugs, and various gaskets. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission. The engine block number 53462 is shown above, and it matches the VIN listed on the Florida title. A family photo with the car shortly after its acquisition by the seller is shown above.
