 1940 mobile ies 70 Woodie gon, This is the only 1940 70 series "120" wheelbase" mobile woodie wagon known to be built.. All other 1940 mobile woodie wagons were produced on the shorter series 60 "116" wheelbase" platform.. Mid-state y works of N was commissioned by mobile as the coach builder.. believe this particular 1940 woodie wagon was the prototype for the following year where all wagons were built on series 70 platforms…

Found in a bersburg nsylvania barn in 1988.. by a local collector named John n, He knew of the car for years, And when word of the barn's imminent demolition reached him, A deal was struck to purchase the rare mobile. Last registered in 1958, The car reportedly needed just new oil and a set of points (along with, presumably, a fresh tank of gas) to start.

Since its 1988 acquisition, this mobile woodie has undergone a thorough restoration, which reportedly required nearly two decades to complete. of the car's interior and exterior wood trim is original, as are many of the interior panels..
