1941 Cadillac 62D * Quality Frame-Off Restoration w/All Mechanicals Rebuilt

Very high quality frame off restoration with all mechanicals rebuilt. Completed in 2016. Beautiful in dark blue over red leather. Arrow straight body and show quality paint. The doors close beautifully with a nice “click”.

All of the glass was replaced and is excellent. New Lebaron-Bonney top with perfect fit and finish, with the exception of a stiff zipper for the back window. The top is vacuum operated and works as intended.  The vacuum for the wipers and power antenna work as well. Correct carpet and trim. New wiring harness. Very nicely done woodgraining. All instruments work except for the clock. Radio powers on but doesn’t tune. The driver’s seat adjustment handle needs to be reconnected. Perfect steering wheel with no flaws. The trunk is finished just as nicely as the interior, see pics. All new weatherstripping throughout the car.

All mechanical systems were rebuilt at the time of restoration, the car runs and drives excellent. All stock except for an added 6V fuel pump. Tires are BF Goodrich Silvertowns in 7.00-15. The chrome and trim on the car looks mostly terrific, but there are a three very small areas that show tarnishing from over buffing, only about 1/2″ in length for each. Very good otherwise with no pitting. Overall, the car stands tall, but there are a few age-related flaws in the paint to point out. There is a small hairline crack at the top left of the trunk lid, a surface scuff at the front of the pass-side fender, a paint scratch on the bottom of the pass-side wheel skirt, a paint crack just forward of the rear bumper apron, and two more on the d-side fender. Obviously, they’re not the first thing you notice on the car, but they are there if you look closely. There is no rust on the car, and the undercarriage looks great, see pictures.
