The Jaguar XK120
The Jaguar XK120 was first introduced in 1948 and produced until 1954. It was designed by liam s and colm er to showcase Jaguar’s new XK engine and featured a sleek and aerodynamic body with a wrap around windshield and spats over the rear wheels. The XK120 was capable of reaching speeds over 120 mph, making it one of the fastest production cars of its time. The XK120 has a storied racing history, racing in Le s and Mille Miglia, with examples piloted by the likes of Sir s and . This particular car wears a plaque declaring it an exact replica of the record breaking car which achieved the speed of 132.6 MPH at , on May 30, 1949.
The History of Chassis #670341
While not an aluminum bodied car, this early XK120 arrived from ntry with a rather unique build sheet, being one of two with a louvered bonnet from the factory. The other being owned by Gable. Chrome wire wheels and driving lights were other rare options from the factory, and previous owners have upgraded the steering wheel to a (though the original is included), custom fitted a luggage rack, and upgraded the exhaust. The original tool kit and luggage are included in the trunk.
cords indicate this Jaguar XK120 car was a barn find of about 20 years before being sent to tomotive storations in , Connecticut in 1995 for a restoration with a thick binder of receipts for engine and body work totaling almost $100,000. The bodywork is straight and the Silver paint is immaculate. Coaxing the inline 6 fires to life requires little effort even when cold, and the four speed manual transmission shifts with ease.

All that being said, with just over 13,000 miles as shown on the odometer, this is by no means a garage queen, it enjoys being driven.
Following the restoration in 1995 tomotive storations have maintained the Jaguar for the duration of at least 2 subsequent Connecticut owners, including the most recent owner who has passed.
