This 1951 Lancia Aurelia B50 Stabilimenti Farina Coupe is located in Italy and is thought to be one of four survivors from among seven or eight cars built. The B50 designation refers to the Series 1 Aurelia berlina platform, on which coach builder Stabilimenti Farina based this alloy-bodied coupe. Restored ten years ago by the seller, this right-hand drive car has been driven about 1,500 km since, with no current needs reported. The 1754cc V6 is believed original and paired with a 4-speed column-shift manual gearbox. Services completed two months ago included an oil/filter change and a full inspection. This Aurelia Coupe is now offered with current Italian registration, early ACI certificate, and restoration receipts totaling about €30k. Restoration of the aluminum body was completed by an experienced specialist, with work documented by receipts. Original parts were retained throughout, and were refurbished as needed. Stabilimenti Farina of Turin was founded in 1906 by Giovanni Farina. The coach builder designed and built cars for Fiat, Lancia, Cisitalia, Ferrari, and Alfa Romeo. This B50 Coupe is thought to be one of the last Farina-designed cars executed before this Carrozzeria closed in 1953. This Automobile Club D’Italia (ACI) certificate was issued February 1951 and shows this Lancia retains its Province of Reggio Emilia (RE) number plates. Instrumentation includes a center kph speedometer flanked by a separate tachometer and combination fuel/oil pressure gauge. The 5-digit odometer registers 82,382 kilometers (~51k miles) and is believed accurate. The painted dash shows some chips around the glove box, as well as some uneven finish around the gauges. The 3-spoke steering wheel features Aurelia-logo center, with a few cracks to the plastic noted. The rear cabin includes stowage space and dual fold-down occasional seating. The seller reports floors throughout the car are original, with no repairs or replacement required during restoration. Condition of the floors under front/rear carpets is shown in a series gallery photos. This single-carb 1754cc V6 was rated at 56 hp when new, and was refurbished as part of prior restoration work. The seller notes an Estratto Cronologico Storico accompanies the sale, which reportedly shows that the car retains its original engine. Aurelia number B50-1194 is stamped on an under-hood commission plate and on the adjacent firewall, with a close up photo shown in the gallery. This rear-end configuration of this early Aurelia consists of a transaxle, inboard drum brakes, lever-type dampers, and coil-sprung semi-trailing arms.
