1953 Buick Skylark

This 1953 Buick Skylark was refurbished under prior ownership and acquired by the selling dealer in 1995. The car is finished in red over red and white upholstery and is powered by a 322ci Nailhead V8 linked with a two-speed Dynaflow automatic transmission. Equipment includes a white convertible soft top, power steering, power-assisted drum brakes, chrome 15″ wire wheels, whitewall tires, a heater, an analog clock, a Selectronic AM radio, and electric windows. This Skylark is now offered with a clean Illinois title in the name of the selling dealer. The Skylark was introduced in 1953 to celebrate Buick’s 50th anniversary, and it borrowed styling cues from the company’s 1951 Le Sabre and XP-300 show cars. The 322ci Nailhead V8 was factory rated at 170 horsepower and 292 lb-ft of torque and features a four-barrel carburetor and a 12-volt electrical system.
