This 1954 Austin-Healey 100 BN1 is a left-hand drive roadster that was modified prior to the seller’s acquisition on BaT in December 2021 by repainting the car in red and installing a 327ci V8 paired, a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission, and a 10-bolt rear axle with a 3.23:1 limited-slip differential. Engine modifications consist of an upgraded engine rotating assembly, a Comp Cams hydraulic roller camshaft, PerTronix electronic ignition, an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, and refurbished 2.02 camel-hump cylinder heads. The car is also equipped with a Hurst shifter, AutoMeter instrumentation, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ Cragar S/S wheels, Factory Five bucket seats, LED turn signals, a Painless Wiring harness, Hella horns, Lucas fog lights, and modified rear suspension. This BN1 roadster is now offered with a Kansas title in the seller’s name. The car was refinished in red prior to the seller’s acquisition. Additional work is said to include removing rust from the floor pans, which were coated with Eastwood rust encapsulator. Features include smoothed bumper holes and defroster vents, chrome fender welting, polished trim, and LED turn signals. Lucas fog lights were installed and the windshield hardware was replaced following the seller’s acquisition. The chrome 15″ Cragar S/S wheels are mounted with Ironman GR906 tires measuring 195/65 up front and 205/70 out back. The rear suspension has been replaced with a fabricated conventional shock arrangement with leaf springs and spring pads, Chevrolet S-10 U-bolts and plates, and a pinion snubber. Braking is handled by Girling front calipers, Chevrolet rear calipers, four-wheel discs, and a Wilwood two-brake master cylinder. The interior features fixed-back Factory Five bucket seats that are trimmed in black and equipped with Jeg’s 5-point harnesses. Features include a Painless Wiring harness and fuse block, battery cut-off switch, Wilwood brake and clutch pedal assemblies, and DEI heat wrap installed on the floor, firewall, and footwells as well as a USB port with voltage reading, a four-way flasher switch, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and a floor-mounted Hurst shifter assembly with cue ball knob. The three-spoke LeCarra steering wheel frames AutoMeter instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and three auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 730 miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The Chevrolet-based 327ci V8 was installed prior to the seller’s acquisition and is said to feature the following components: Forged crankshaft Revised bearings and rings Jeg’s oil pump, oil pan, and timing chain Reconditioned rods Flat top pistons Refurbished 2.02 camel-hump cylinder heads Comp Cams XR276HR camshaft Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor Pertronix Ignitor III electronic ignition with a Flame-Thrower coil Aluminum radiator with a Flex-a-Lite electric fan. The seller reports that service under current ownership has included replacing the rocker arms, oil pan gasket, and the fuel sending unit as well as re-routing the exhaust. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed Muncie M20 manual transmission and a Chevrolet 10-bolt rear axle with a 3.23:1 limited-slip differential and custom Moser Engineering axles. The current Kansas title carries an antique brand and a “warning discrepancy” notation in the mileage status section.
