Vehicle Description:

The current owner purchased the vehicle in 2015 in town Ma from an antique dealer who owned it for at least ten years. He displayed it in front of his establishment and drove it locally in parades.  It was trucked it down to . It spent Two years at yal Motor Works being restored by Michael dfarb. The paint color was selected by the owner’s wife, the truck was originally green.  The owner had the motor and rear end differential rebuilt.  They kept the original hub caps, and all other parts are post marketing Chevy replacements. The pickup up bed was also replaced.

The paint is Glasurit basecoat and clearcoat the clear is “flattened” with a flattening agent also made by Glasurit.

The truck starts, runs, and drives very nicely.  It drives like one would expect a 1954 pickup to drive like.  Lights, turn signals, wipers all work.  The truck is ready to be enjoyed and driven with no mechanical repairs or body or interior repairs are indicated.

1954 Chevrolet 3100 – d Design Pick up – Fun Facts (Wikipedia)

The -Design is a light and medium duty truck series by <a href=" [ ct Seller] “>Chevrolet, their first major redesign after WWII. Its GMC counterpart was the GMC New Design. It was billed as a larger, stronger, and sleeker design in comparison to the earlier <a href=" [ ct Seller] “>AK ies. First available on Saturday, June 28, 1947, these trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years<a href=" [ ct Seller] “>[3] until 25, 1955, when the <a href=" [ ct Seller] “>Task ies trucks replaced the -Design model.

The same basic design family was used for all of its trucks including the <a href=" [ ct Seller] “>Suburban, panel trucks, <a href=" [ ct Seller] “>canopy express, and <a href=" [ ct Seller] “>cab overs. The cab overs used the same basic cab configuration and similar grille but used a shorter and taller hood and different fenders. The unique cab over fenders and hood required a custom cowl area which makes the cab over engine cabs and normal truck cabs incompatible with one another while all truck cabs of all weights interchange.
