This 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz is one of 2,150 convertibles produced for the model year, and it was refurbished prior to the seller’s 2023 acquisition. The car is finished in metallic green over green and white leather upholstery, and power comes from a 365ci V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include 15″ chrome Sabre wheels, a power-operated tan soft top, power-assisted steering and drum brakes, power windows, an Autronic Eye headlight dimmer, and an AM radio. This Eldorado Biarritz is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name. This example was delivered from the factory in Emerald Green Metallic (96) and was refinished under previous ownership. Features include a power-operated beige soft top, gold badging, chrome bumpers, and quadruple exhaust outlets inset in the rear bumper. Chrome 15″ Sabre wheels are mounted with wide-whitewall tires. A spare wheel is stowed under a cover in the trunk. The Eldorado utilizes a coil-spring front suspension along with a live rear axle on semi-elliptical leaf springs. The car was equipped from the factory with power-assisted steering and four-wheel drum brakes. The cabin houses front and rear bench seats trimmed in green and white leather along with a color-coordinated dash pad and door panels. Green carpets line the floors, and additional equipment includes an AM radio, an Autronic Eye headlight dimming system, a heater, power windows, and tinted sun visors. The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a chrome column ahead of a 120-mph sweep speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 28k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 365ci V8 is equipped with a black and red “batwing” air cleaner. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The cowl tag decodes as follows: Style No. 56-6267SX – Eldorado Biarritz two-door convertible Body No. F W 997 – Detroit Fleetwood Assembly, body number 997 Trim No. 16 – Green and white leather upholstery with matching sidewalls Paint No. 96 – Emerald Green Metallic paint Top 4 – Tan soft top ACC EH– E-Z Eye glass, heater
