This 1956 Ford Country Squire was refurbished and modified during previous ownership. The 292ci V8 was rebuilt and a McCulloch supercharger was installed along with an aluminum radiator, an electric fan, and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers, and the car was refinished with blue paintwork, wood-style appliqués, and a retrimmed interior with white vinyl and blue woven plastic upholstery. It also has a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, a front disc conversion kit, chrome wire wheels, and a Town & Country AM radio. This Country Squire wagon was acquired by the seller in 2019 and is now offered with a clean Delaware title in the seller’s name. The body was refinished in blue with maple-hued woodgrain trim and mahogany-color plank-style appliqués during the refurbishment. Additional features include hooded headlights, a driver-side mirror, rear fender skirts and stone guards, polished stainless-steel rocker panel moldings, and chrome bumpers. Chrome 15″ wire wheels wearing Ford-crest hubcaps are mounted with with 205/75 Coker Classic whitewall tires, and a spare is stowed beneath the rear cargo deck. The steering is power-assisted as are the brakes, which consist of front discs and rear drums. The cabin features front and rear bench seats trimmed in white vinyl with blue woven plastic inserts as well as a color-coordinated dash pad and door panels, a white headliner, and blue carpeting. Appointments include second-row fold-down seats, lap belts, a MagicAire heater, and a Town & Country push-button AM radio. A color-coordinated three-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring fronts a hooded instrument panel housing a 120-mph speedometer, auxiliary gauges, warning lamps, and a clock. AutoMeter Sport-Comp boost-pressure and coolant-temperature gauges are mounted along the bottom edge of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 76k miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the seller. The 292ci Thunderbird V8 was factory-equipped with a Holley four barrel carburetor. During prior ownership the engine was reportedly rebuilt, at which time the McCulloch VS-57 centrifugal supercharger was added along with an aluminum radiator, an electric fan, and a high-flow water pump. A tune-up performed in 2023 included replacing the points and spark plugs as well as changing the oil. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ford-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission. The dual exhaust system is equipped with Flowmaster mufflers. Images of the engine following its rebuild and modification are shown in the gallery along with period literature included in the sale.
