This 1957 Buick Century Caballero Estate Wagon was acquired by the current owner in 2000, and it is powered by a 364ci V8. The car was refurbished many years ago under prior ownership, and a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission has been installed. Equipment includes a two-piece tailgate, a roof rack, two-tone upholstery, an AM radio, power steering, and 15” wire wheels. Work performed in preparation for the sale involved rebuilding the Edelbrock carburetor, refreshing the fuel tank, overhauling the drum brakes, and replacing the transmission modulator valve and mounts as well as the tires. This Caballero Estate Wagon is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner at no reserve with a clean California title. The Caballero represented the top trim level of the Century Estate and featured a pillarless design with four faux portholes on the front fenders as well as special badging on the rear doors. This example left the factory finished in monotone Hunter Green (WW) and was refinished in green and white.  Exterior details include a wraparound windshield, a wide-wing grille emblem, a roof rack, and dual exhaust outlets that pass through the rear bumper. Flaking red paint on the “sweepspears” can be viewed in the gallery. Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels wear Skylark-branded faux spinners, and Coker G78-15 whitewall tires were mounted in July 2024. The brake drums were resurfaced, the shoes were replaced, and the system fluid was flushed at that time. The car is equipped with power steering. The cabin features bench seats and door panels trimmed in two-tone green vinyl with a color-coordinated dash pad and carpets. Bright metal trim accents the dash, and an AM radio and a clock remain in their factory locations. The three-spoke steering wheel has a chrome horn ring and frames a sweeping 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles, and total mileage is unknown. The cargo area is accessed through a two-piece tailgate and offers a total depth of 101.9” with the rear seat folded. The 364ci Fireball V8 is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor that was overhauled at Hilltop Automotive of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, in July 2024. The fuel tank was also cleaned and treated, the fuel filter was replaced, and an oil change was performed. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, and the modulator valve, mounts, and fluid were replaced in July 2024. The cowl tag reveals the following information: 69– Century Caballero Estate Wagon 8933 – Production sequence 616 – Medium Green & Light Green Cordaveen upholstery WW – Hunter Green paint Accessories: B – Heater & defroster F – Safety group G – Windshield washer & wide-angle wiper I – Easy-Eye glass
