Only one owner the past 50 years. This 1957 Morgan 4/4 is a Series II example that was sold new via Fergus Imported Cars in New York City and purchased by the seller’s father in 1970. A refurbishment performed between 1975 and 1980 included installing a 1.6-liter Ford inline-four and pairing it with a four-speed manual transmission. Finished in cream and maroon over tan leather, the car is also equipped with a replacement tan soft top, steel wheels with a rear-mounted spare, a tonneau cover, a luggage rack, fog lights, removable side curtains, hood louvers, and a rear parcel shelf. This 4/4 is now offered by the seller with a car cover and a New Jersey title.
The car was refinished in cream with maroon fenders in the 1970s and features a replacement tan removable soft top, a tonneau cover, a leather hood strap, a luggage rack, a polished fuel filler cap, fog lights, removable side curtains, hood louvers, fender-mounted mirrors, glass wing windows, and chrome bumpers with overriders.
The steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with Firestone tires, and a matching spare is stored at the rear of the vehicle. Braking is handled by drums at each corner.
The split bench is trimmed in tan leather, and interior appointments include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a wood-trimmed dashboard, a wooden shift knob, lap belts, and a rear parcel shelf.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 90-mph speedometer and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 7,300 miles, which is said to reflect the distance driven under current ownership.
The 1.6-liter Ford inline-four is said to have been built to competition specs before being installed in 1975. It is fitted with a four-into-one exhaust header.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The New Jersey title is listed as a duplicate.
