This 1958 Cadillac 62 convertible reportedly resided in Canada for five decades and underwent a multi-year refurbishment that was completed in 2020. The car is refinished in red over red and white leather, and power comes from a 365ci V8 paired with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Features include a power-operated white convertible top, 15″ wheels, a four-barrel carburetor, power windows, a heater, an AM radio, and lap belts. The car was recently acquired by the seller in Missouri, and work carried out in anticipation of the sale consisted of rebuilding the transmission along with replacing the rear axle seals and rear brake shoes. This 62 convertible is now offered in Missouri with service records, refurbishment photos, manuals, and an Arizona title. The Fisher-built body was disassembled in 2016 and placed on a rotisserie before replacement panels were installed and rust repairs were performed. The body was then repainted in the current shade of red, and the chrome bumpers and trim were replaced or repaired. A replacement power-operated white vinyl soft top was also installed, and additional equipment includes a hidden fuel filler cap, a replacement power radio antenna, rubber front bumper guards, tail fins, wing windows, gold-accented Cadillac badges, and dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear bumper. Steel 15″ wheels wear bright covers featuring the Cadillac crest and are mounted with Kingstar Centum SK72 whitewall tires. A full-size spare is mounted in the trunk. The suspension is said to have been overhauled during the refurbishment along with the braking system, which utilizes drums at all four corners. The rear brakes shoes were replaced in anticipation of the sale. The interior features front and rear bench seats that were reupholstered under prior ownership in red and white leather as well as matching door panels, dashboard, and red carpeting. Amenities include a power-operated front bench seat, power windows, a heater, an AM radio, a clock, and lap belts. The E-Z Eye Glass does not work. The white two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer flanked by auxiliary gauges and indicator lamps. The five-digit odometer shows 78k miles, and the total mileage is unknown. The 365ci V8 was rebuilt as part of the refurbishment and is said to utilize a replacement 1959 block. Equipment includes a four-barrel carburetor, an electric fuel pump, and a dual exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission that was rebuilt in preparation for the sale. The rear axle seals were also replaced. The underside is coated with POR-15 undercoating.
