This 1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible is a Canadian-market example powered by a 348ci V8 with three two-barrel carburetors. Work under previous ownership consisted of removing the body from the frame, repairing rust, and repainting the car in red along with refurbishing the tri-tone interior and overhauling the chassis. A TH350 three-speed automatic transmission is fitted along with a power-operated white soft top, rear fender skirts, dual rear antennas, power steering, power drum brakes, spinner-style wheel covers, power windows, a push-button AM radio, and a dual exhaust system. This Impala convertible is now offered by the seller in Canada with a refurbishment photo binder and British Columbia registration in the name of the seller’s business. The body was removed from the frame under prior ownership after which the paint was stripped, rust repairs were performed, and it was repainted in red. Details include a power-operated white soft top, a wrap-around windshield, fender-mounted wind splits, front bumper guards, rear fender skirts, dual rear antennas, tailfins, and chrome body-side trim and bumpers. Black 14″ steel wheels wear spinner-style covers and are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires. A full-size spare is located in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted drums at each corner. The bench seats were reupholstered in red vinyl with tri-tone cloth inserts. Equipment includes a heater and defroster, a lockable glovebox, an electric clock, power windows, and a push-button AM radio. The RCA Victor record player is not connected. The two-spoke steering wheel has a chrome horn ring and frames a 120-mph speedometer along with gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 224 miles, approximately 125 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 348ci V8 is topped with triple two-barrel carburetors and features a dual-snorkel air intake assembly and an orange engine block, intake manifold, and valve covers. The oil was changed and the battery was replaced in July 2023. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. A replacement dual exhaust system has been installed. Photos taken during the refurbishment are shown in the gallery below and are also included in the sale. The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its British Columbia registration.
