1959 Ford Thunderbird (1958-1960)

This 1959 Ford Thunderbird convertible was mechanically refurbished under previous ownership, which is said to have included overhauling the 352ci V8 and the three-speed automatic transmission. The car is finished in light blue over blue vinyl and cloth upholstery, and additional features include a power-retractable dark blue soft top, 14″ wire-spoke wheels, whitewall tires, rear fender skirts, chrome bumpers, a push-button AM radio, a Ford MagicAire heater/defroster, and power windows. This Thunderbird was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023 and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature and a clean California title. The car is finished in light blue and features a power-retractable dark blue soft top, rear fender skirts, chrome bumpers, and a driver’s side mirror. The 14″ wire-spoke wheels are mounted with whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at each corner. The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in blue vinyl  with contrasting cloth inserts. Amenities include a push-button AM radio, a Ford MagicAire heater/defroster, power windows, and Thunderbird-script front floor mats. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 79k miles. Total mileage is unknown. The 352ci V8 and the three-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission are said to have been overhauled under previous ownership. The selling dealer states the transmission was resealed in preparation for the sale. A serial number of H9YJ122525 is shown on the frame stamp as well as on the reproduction data plate shown above.
