This 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible is said to have been refurbished under prior ownership in Texas and was acquired by the seller in 2011. Work under current ownership consisted of rebuilding the radio, antenna, instrument cluster, interior switches, and carburetors as well as re-covering the dashboard, servicing the power steering and brakes, and also replacing the convertible top, heater valve, fuel sending unit, fuel pump, exhaust-manifold gaskets, radiator hoses, and tires. Power is provided by a 390ci V8 linked with a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission, and the car is finished in black over red leather upholstery. Equipment includes a power-operated convertible top, triple-carburetor induction, power-assisted drum brakes, chrome 15″ wire wheels, whitewall tires, a power-adjustable front seat, power windows, a three-trumpet horn, and a push-button AM/FM radio. This Biarritz is now offered with a parade boot, a car cover, service records since 2013, and a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name. Cadillac built 1,285 examples of the Eldorado Biarritz convertible for the 1960 model year. A spare is located in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted drums at each corner. The power-steering and braking systems were serviced and the tires were replaced under current ownership. Equipment includes a six-way power-adjustable front seat, front lap belts, an electric clock, power-operated side windows, power vent windows, a three-trumpet horn, a push-button AM/FM radio, and front and rear speakers. The instrumentation was rebuilt under current ownership. The speedometer does not work, however, the odometer is working. The five-digit odometer shows 94k miles, and approximately 3k miles were added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown. The 390ci V8 breathes through three two-barrel carburetors and was factory rated at 345 horsepower and 435 lb-ft of torque. Work under current ownership consisted of rebuilding the carburetors and replacing the fuel sending unit, fuel pump, exhaust-manifold gaskets, and radiator hoses.
