1960 Lincoln Continental (1958-1960)

This 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V convertible is finished in white over a black and white leather interior and is one of 2,044 cars built for the model year. It is equipped with a 430ci V8 paired with a Turbo-Drive three-speed automatic transmission, and features include a white power-operated convertible top, a power-retractable rear window, power-assisted steering and brakes, a power-adjustable front bench seat, an aftermarket stereo, cruise control, and power door locks and windows. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, service in preparation for the sale included changing the oil and replacing the ignition coil, fuel sender, power steering pump, and exhaust manifold gaskets. This Continental Mark V convertible is now offered with a clean Idaho title. The car was refinished in the factory Polaris White under previous ownership. Exterior details include color-keyed fender skirts, Mark V panel badging, and chrome bumpers. The car also features a retractable rear window and a white convertible top. Steel wheels wear polished covers with gold Continental logos and were wrapped in Coker whitewall tires in 2024. For the 1960 model year, the rear suspension was changed from coil to leaf springs, and drum brakes are fitted at all four corners. The front shocks were replaced in 2017. The cabin features bench seats trimmed in black and white leather, along with color-coordinated interior trim and carpets. Engine-turned trim accents the instrument cluster, and additional features include a power-operated front seat, a Town & Country AM radio, an aftermarket stereo head unit, cruise control, and power door locks and windows. A four-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, auxiliary gauges, and a clock. The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles, approximately 150 of which have been added under current ownership. The 430ci V8 was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. The muffler and battery were replaced in 2018, the starter was replaced in 2022, and the ignition coil, fuel sender, power steering pump, and exhaust manifold gaskets were replaced in 2024. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a Turbo-Drive three-speed automatic transmission.
