This 1960 Morgan Plus 4 was purchased by the seller on BaT in July 2021, and its 2.1-liter inline-four was subsequently overhauled and fitted with an aftermarket camshaft. The car is finished in British Racing Green over black vinyl and equipped with a four-speed manual transmission, a black soft top and tonneau cover, side windows, wind wings, LED taillights, chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, dual SU carburetors, an aluminum radiator, and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. Additional service during current ownership has included rebuilding the carburetors, refreshing the suspension, repainting the floor, refinishing the dashboard and steering wheel, and replacing the bonnet strap, door check straps, side and rearview mirrors, carpets, clutch disc, pressure plate, engine mounts, and transmission mounts. This Plus 4 is now offered with service records, workshop manuals, and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name. The car was refinished in British Racing Green under previous ownership and features a black soft top and tonneau cover, side windows, a louvered bonnet, wind wings, LED taillights, and a side-exit exhaust system. A black sheepskin-lined bonnet belt was fitted under current ownership, and the left taillight gasket and fender-mounted side mirrors were also replaced. Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in 155-series Vredestein Sprint Classic showing 2022 date codes. The spare is mounted at the back of the car under a black vinyl cover. The car is equipped with front disc brakes, and the front shocks, shock grommets, rear shock links, and leaf spring shackles were replaced in 2022. The seats, door panels, and transmission tunnel are upholstered in black vinyl. Service in 2022 included repainting the floor, installing wool carpets, refinishing the dashboard and Moto-Lita steering wheel, and replacing the shift knob, handbrake lever boot, door check straps, and rearview mirror. Smiths instrumentation includes a 110-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and a combination gauge. The seller states that the gauge wiring was repaired under current ownership. The five-digit odometer shows 68k miles, approximately 1k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown. The 2.1-liter inline-four was bored .040″ over and rebuilt in 2022. A Morgan Motors “Mild Street” camshaft, gear-reduction starter, aluminum radiator, and ARP head studs were also installed, the distributor was rebuilt, and the fuel pump was replaced. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, and service in 2022 included turning the flywheel, changing the transmission fluid and differential oil, and replacing the clutch assembly and transmission mounts. Workshop manuals, service records, and the removed front bumper are included in the sale. The seller states that they cannot locate the chassis number on the car.
