This 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider was picked up by its original owner via tourist delivery in Italy in 1962 before being shipped to the US and registered in Los Angeles, California. It is said to have remained with the family of the original owner until 2014, and underwent a mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment totaling over $32k in 2016 before being purchased by the seller and relocated to Virginia six years ago. The car is finished in red over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 1.3L twin-cam inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, a single Solex carburetor, an AM radio, an IRPA heater, Koni shocks, four-wheel drum brakes, and 15″ steel wheels with bright hubcaps. An Alfaholics stainless-steel exhaust system was installed in preparation for the sale. This Giulietta Spider is now offered with a 1962 purchase documents, a warranty booklet, a Certificato di Origine, service records, a tool kit, removed parts, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name. The body was repainted in the current shade of red under previous ownership in 2016. Additional work involved replacing the rubber body seals and taillights along with re-chroming the exterior trim as well as the headlight and taillight bezels. Pininfarina badges adorn the fenders, and the car features a replacement black soft top. The majority of the photos were taken prior to installation of the Alfaholics stainless-steel exhaust system. The 15” steel wheels wear bright Alfa Romeo-branded hubcaps and are mounted with 155/80 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. A matching full-size spare is stored behind the seats. The suspension was overhauled in 2016 with Koni shocks along with replacement rear axle straps, modified springs, idler arm bushings, and roll bar bushings. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes. The bucket seats are trimmed in black vinyl upholstery and joined by a color-coordinated dash pad and door panels. Red carpets are covered by patterned mats, and additional equipment includes an AM radio, an IPRA heater, and lap belts. A two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring sits ahead of a body-color metal dashboard housing a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles. The speedometer cable was replaced in 2016, and true mileage is unknown. The 1.3L twin-cam inline-four is equipped with a single Solex carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Service in August 2020 involved rebuilding the carburetor as well as replacing the water pump, starter, and clutch disc. An Alfaholics stainless-steel exhaust system as well as a replacement header were installed in preparation for the sale. The Alfa Romeo Certificato di Origine is accompanied by the Certificato di Garanzia as well as a 1962 purchase document that lists a total price of USD $2,268. A selection of used and removed parts are also included in the sale along with a warranty booklet, a  tool kit, and service records.
