This 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible was refurbished under previous ownership, and work in the early 2000s is said to have included refinishing the exterior in white, reupholstering the interior in red, and rebuilding the 430ci V8. Equipment includes a dual-range three-speed automatic transmission, a power-operated tan soft top, power-assisted steering and brakes, 14″ wheels, a power-operated front bench seat, and power windows and door locks. The car was acquired by the seller in 2021, and maintenance in preparation for the sale is said to have included engine oil and transmission fluid changes, a coolant flush, convertible top service, and the replacement of the tires. This Continental convertible is now offered with a clean Florida title in the seller’s name. The car left the factory finished in Ermine White (M), and it was refinished under previous ownership. Exterior details include a power-operated tan soft top, rear-hinged rear doors, quad headlights, chrome trim and bumpers, and a Lincoln hood ornament. Paint chips and scratches are noted around the car, and rust bubbles on the lower edge of the rear doors and lower rear quarter panel are shown up close in the gallery. The 14″ wheels wear covers and are mounted with Hankook Kinergy GT tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted drums. The seating surfaces were reupholstered in red, and the cabin is equipped with folding center armrests, a power-adjustable front seat, a push-button AM radio, and power windows and door locks. The seller notes that the radio speaker is blown and that the carpet on the transmission tunnel is faded. Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 98k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The 430ci V8 was factory rated at 320 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque when new, and the seller states that it was rebuilt under previous ownership. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a dual-range three-speed automatic transmission and a rear differential with 2.89:1 gearing. Corrosion is visible on underbody components. The serial number reveals the car is a 1963 four-door convertible model built in Wixom, Michigan, and equipped with a 430ci V8 and four-barrel carburetor. Decoding the door tag reveals the following information: Body: 74A – Four-door convertible Color: M – Ermine White Trim: 85  – Red leather upholstery Date: 06L  – November 6, 1962 build date DSO: 24 – Jacksonville, Florida, delivery district Axle: 1 – Standard differential with 2.89:1 gearing Transmission: 4 – Dual-Range three-speed automatic
