This 1964 MGB Roadster is said to have been refurbished by California Classics Hull Limited of Hull, England under previous ownership. Work reportedly consisted of repainting the body in dark metallic blue, reupholstering the seats in red leather, overhauling the suspension and braking systems, and installing a 4.6-liter V8 that is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional features include a blue convertible top, a red convertible top boot, 15″ Turrino wire wheels with knock-off hubs, and a stainless-steel exhaust system along with a wood-rim steering wheel, power windows, Smiths instrumentation, and a Caliber CD/USB stereo. The car resided in Canada before it was imported to the US and acquired by the current owner in 2021. This V8-powered MGB is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with a clean Florida title. The car was refinished in dark metallic blue during the aforementioned refurbishment and is equipped with a blue convertible top and a red convertible top boot. Additional exterior details consist of a polished windshield frame, dual side mirrors, bright bodyside moldings, and chrome-finished bumpers. Polished 15″ Turrino wire wheels with knock-off hubs are wrapped in 185/70 Michelin XWX tires, and a spare wheel and tire are located alongside the battery in the trunk. The suspension was overhauled during the refurbishment according to the selling dealer, who notes that it features a double-wishbone setup up front with Koni dampers as well as a five-link rear setup with Koni adjustable coilovers. Braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel discs with Wilwood four-piston calipers fitted over cross-drilled rotors up front. The red interior houses a pair of bucket seats retrimmed in red leather with black piping, and matching upholstery extends to the door panels. Power windows have been added, and additional interior appointments include a Caliber CD/USB stereo, a heater/defroster, bright MG-branded door sill guards, and a locking glovebox. The MG-branded wooden shift knob shows wear. A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 270-km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges displaying fuel level and water temperature. The digital odometer shows 1k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The replacement 4.6-liter V8 is said to have been installed by California Classics Hull Limited of Hull, England under previous ownership and reportedly features an aluminum block and a Kent Cams “Fast Road” camshaft. The engine is also equipped with a remote oil filter, tubular exhaust headers, and a conical air intake connected to a blue Samco Sport silicone air inlet. Per the selling dealer, the drivetrain is made up of an R380 five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A stainless-steel exhaust system is installed. Filed under: mg, mg b
