This 1965 Alpine A110 left the factory in 1965 as an 1100 VB example and is said to have been sold new in France before being imported to the US in the 1990. It was returned to Europe in the 2010s and fitted with a replacement 1975-specification Group 5 body finished in yellow with a tribute livery in the style of the car driven by Jean-Pierre Nicolas drove at that year’s Tour de Corse. The car wears a front spoiler and flared fenders along with with Marchal headlights and yellow-lens driving lamps. Inside, Modplastia bucket seats are trimmed in quilted black vinyl with corduroy inserts and accompanied by Sabelt four-point harnesses and a roll bar. Power is supplied by a replacement 1,798cc Gordini Type 807 inline-four that is equipped with a Lucas mechanical slide fuel injection, while shifting is through a Type 353 five-speed manual transaxle. Further equipment includes a Devil muffler, a 90-liter fuel tank, twin oil coolers, four-wheel disc brakes, and 13″ Gotti wheels. This A110 was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023 and is now offered in North Salem, New York, with prior European registration documents, partial service records, a first-aid kit, and a clean Florida title. Designed by Giovanni Michelotti, the A110 featured fiberglass bodywork mounted to a steel backbone chassis and was produced from 1962 to 1977. This example is said to have been delivered from the factory in silvery-gray and was fitted with a replacement 1975 Group 5–style body sourced from Auto Racing of Orthez, France, as part of a refurbishment completed in the 2010s. The car is finished in yellow with a replica #753 1975 Tour de Corse livery and features a front spoiler, flared fenders, and painted rear bumperettes. Marchal headlights and yellow-lens driving lamps are fitted up front, while a Devil muffler is equipped out back. The majority of the selling dealer’s photos were taken in 2023. Three-lug 13″ Gotti X13 wheels feature orange-painted centers with polished lips and are wrapped with 16/53 front and 20/53 rear Michelin TB5F tires with 2015 and 2016 date codes. A gold Alpine-branded alloy wheel with an older Semperit tire is stowed in the front trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The cockpit houses Modplastia bucket seats trimmed in quilted black vinyl with corduroy inserts accompanied by Sabelt four-point harnesses. Gray carpets line the floors, and a roll bar is fitted behind the seats. Further details include an Alpine-branded wood shift knob, a dash-mounted electrical cutoff switch, and pop-out rear quarter windows. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 240-km/h speedometer, a MotoMeter 10k-rpm tachometer, and Jaeger auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 657 kilometers (~400 miles), approximately 100 of which have been added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown. The replacement 1,798cc Gordini Type 807 inline-four was installed as part of the aforementioned 2010s refurbishment. It is equipped with forged pistons, bronze valve guides, and Lucas mechanical slide fuel injection. Twin oil coolers are mounted at the front of the car, and a 90-liter fuel tank has been added. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Type 353 five-speed manual transaxle.
