This 1965 Honda S600 roadster is a left-hand drive example that is said to have been initially owned in France and imported to the US in the 1970s. The car was acquired by the seller in 2021, and subsequent service involved rebuilding the clutch cylinders, brake master cylinder, and wheel cylinders as well as relining the brake shoes. Finished in red over black vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 606cc inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top with a matching boot cover, 13″ steel wheels with hubcaps, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. This S600 is offered with Alabama registration in the seller’s name. The car is finished in red and was reportedly repainted in the 2000s. Exterior details include a black soft top with a color-coordinated boot cover as well as chrome-finished bumpers and trim, a door-mounted left mirror, and dual exhaust outlets. Bubbling in the paint along the rocker panels is pictured in the gallery below. Silver-finished 13″ steel wheels wear Honda-branded hubcaps and are mounted with 155/80 Bridgestone Insignia SL narrow whitewall tires. The four-wheel drum brake system was serviced in September 2022 with work that consisted of rebuilding the brake master and wheel cylinders as well as relining the shoes. The cabin houses fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Brushed metal trim adorns the instrument surround, and the car is equipped with a heater/defroster. The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an 11k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges monitoring coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 40k miles, approximately 3k were added under current ownership. The 606cc DOHC inline-four is equipped with quadruple side-draft carburetors. An oil change was performed and the coolant changed in the last 100 miles. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and dual outboard chain-drive assemblies. The clutch hydraulic cylinders were rebuilt in September 2022. The gearbox, rear differential, and chain case fluids were changed in preparation for the sale. The car does not have a title as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age. It is being sold on its Alabama registration.
