HISTOR & CONDITION
The current owner has owned the car for over 14 years and it has been garage kept that entire time. It was purchased from an elderly neighbor who owned the car for 8 years and kept it in his garage. The neighbor was a retired aircraft mechanic and he told me he purchased the car from a coworker who kept it stored in an aircraft hanger where they worked. This tang is loaded with most of the options available at that time. The dash has a small brass plate indicating the car was originally ordered for a lady who’s name is on the plate.
With the exception of the paint and the hood, this car is all original. The engine developed a severe oil leak a few years back so I parked the car in my garage, under a fitted cover where it remained for several years. The engine was rebuilt in 2023 and has less that 500 miles on it. The transmission was fully serviced at the same time. The interior is very clean; the seats, dash and headliner are in excellent condition. The air conditioner worked well when it was stored. The radio, lights, signals all work.
Known issues with this car:
- The fuel gauge does not always work
- The air conditioner needs service
- The front windshield needs to be resealed
