This car was originally built in , CA and sold new at Community in , CA. After making its way to Illinois, it was purchased by the current owner in January 2005 and disassembled shortly after. Since, it has undergone a recently-completed rotisserie build. This striking is finished in its factory color scheme of silver over blue. The bucket seat interior sits behind a dashboard of pure 60’s style with a wooden steering wheel, tilt column, and rner gauges. New nless wiring, Powermaster alternator, Optima battery, and electronic ignition have been installed for reliability. The frame and body were separated, sandblasted, and repainted in satin black. The chassis has numerous upgrades including tubular control arms, oversized stabilizers, 13″ disc brakes up front, and coil-over shocks on each corner. On the pavement is a set of 17″ radial whitewall tires wrapped around steel wheels. The original 326 and 2-speed automatic have been replaced by a new 350 crate engine and TH400 transmission. Sitting atop the V8 is a Tri-Power system from tomotion, which functions beautifully. shed headers feed a custom exhaust system with flow mufflers. The sale will also include a set of reproduction hubcaps and PHS documents. The engine and transmission removed during the build are available if desired. It should be noted that the door locks were removed for aesthetics. The driver’s seat cover was not professionally installed and could use some adjustment. A labor of love nearly 20 years in the making.
