1967 Alfa Romeo Duetto Red Convertible

 

1967 a eo Duetto 

l restoration completed in 2012 by long time ista (VIN# AR National a conventions CT and 2017 National a convention in real (combined US and dian convention) from the , PA area. The Duetto was also entered in the prestigious New to Show in PA in 2018. Awards received:  

–          1st place in rso d’elaganza for group at the CT convention 

–          3rd place in 3eme Prix rso for group at the real convention 

–          1st place in group at the New to Show 

5,000 miles since engine rebuild during restoration. ne runs strong with low oil usage and no leaks. 

storation: 

ne – Crank oil galleries drilled out and cleaned, crank polished and balanced, new pistons and liners, New crank bearings with clearances checked (plastic gauge). sting rings used on pistons, new upper & lower timing chains, head surfaced with mild porting and polish, new valve guides, valve seats resurfaced with 3 angle grind, s head gasket, 10548 cam on intake, rebuilt generator, new water pump, new fuel pump, re-cored radiator, rebuilt dual Weber 40 DCOE 27 carburetors, resurfaced flywheel and new clutch disk and pressure plate & release bearing, new exhaust. Eng # AR . New engine and transmission mounts. 

Gearbox – All gears shift smoothly including 2nd gear. 

Differential/axle – New wheel bearings and oil seals. 

Steering box – Opened and inspected with new oil seal installed. 

Suspension – New ball joints and A-arm bushings. New rubber trailing arm bushings 

tank – cleaned and sealed. New gas lines both metal and rubber. 

kes – New master cylinder, all new brake lines, rebuilt front calipers, new rear cylinders (parts from a Stop in ). 

y/interior – rust repair with new welded in panels (floor, rocker & misc panels), new upholstery/floor mats, new bins top, new sun visors, new door panels, rebuild heater box and fan, re-chromed various trim pieces, powder coated convertible top frame, working Blauplunkt radio. 

Wheel/tires – Rims bead blasted and epoxy primed and painted. s are period (Veterstien) 165 x 15 tires with almost new tread. Also available are a set of Sport 15 x 6 rim with 185/65 x 15 low mileage tires as shown in last photo. Make offer for the s if interested.
