This 1967 Amphicar Model 770 is said to have been owned by Branson Amphicar Tours in Missouri prior to the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2023. Finished in blue over orange and white vinyl upholstery, the vehicle is powered by a replacement 1.5-liter inline-four paired with a two-part manual transmission delivering four forward speeds and reverse. Additional equipment includes a white convertible top, 13″ steel wheels, navigation lights, a marine horn, rear tail fins, rear bumper/propeller guards, MotoMeter gauges, and a push-button AM radio. This Amphicar is offered by the selling dealer with a Missouri marine title and New York State automobile and boat registration certificates. The body is said to have been refinished in blue under previous ownership and features bright trim on the side molding, bumpers, and rear bumper/propeller guards. Details include a white convertible top, a vented engine cover, a marine horn, navigation lights, tail fins, and a single exhaust exiting through the tail panel. The rear window regulators are missing, and the windows do not roll up. The 13″ white-painted steel wheels wear Amphicar-stamped hubcaps and are mounted with whitewall tires. The front wheels serve as rudders when the car is afloat, and stopping power on land is handled by hydraulic four-wheel drum brakes. Two rows of bench seating are upholstered in orange and white vinyl and complemented by color-coordinated door panels. A slatted wood floor covering has been installed, and the push-button AM radio is linked to kick panel-mounted speakers. The two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of non-functional MotoMeter instruments consisting of a 90-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a combination gauge. A trio of aftermarket gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and amperage have been installed to the left of the steering column. The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles, and approximately 30 miles have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. Cracks and areas of discoloration are visible in the gauge faces. The replacement rear-mounted 1.5-liter inline-four was reportedly rebuilt under previous ownership and is equipped with a single carburetor. Power is delivered to the rear wheels, dual three-blade propellers, or both through a two-part transmission with a four-speed manual gearbox that drives the wheels and another two-speed, forward and reverse equipped, gearbox that turns the propellers. The selling dealer states that the transmission was rebuilt under previous ownership.
